here. san francisco currently 50. livermore 57. upper 50s in concord and oakland. santa rosa 52, clear and cool in san jose 55. a lot more 4s on the map than 3s. we are trending upward with overnight temperatures. san jose 42 degrees. concord 41. san francisco dropping down to 46. let's talk about a different number 7 as in 70 degrees. i went back and looked at the past five years, averaged things out. and the average first 70-degree day in san jose is actually last week. february 6. we may get there tomorrow or friday. that's how warm we are going to go. radar is clear am we'll stay clear but there are changes coming, as well. two things i want to point out. one, the storm track is still well to our north. there's some moisture up there. seattle getting rain, portland, we are seeing cloud cover crossing the oregon california border. that's about it. the other thing he want to point out is the big dome of high pressure that really hasn't moved much over the past couple of days is on the move a little bit closer to us. as the high gets clos
and windy. it did help temperatures to warm up to 68 in santa rosa. cooler in san jose with 61 for you. 67 in gilroy. 63 in livermore. a look right now at the current temperatures we're starting to drop off the immediate coastline, a slight onshore wind. 52 in san mateo and plenty of 50s in the east bay. in fact, already close to the 40s right now in pleasanton. outside to our live hd sky camera network. you get to spend too much time outside today, here is your window to the outside world. it looks incredible for tonight. not a whole lot of haze. a cold front moved through this weekend and that did help our air quality to improve. however, with only trace amounts of rain early saturday morning we didn't have enough to clean out the pollen so that will be continually a problem, very high pollen forecast. a look right now at what we have happening, the jet stream. the storm track which steers all of our activity, continues to push way up into alaska. this really is just unheard of this time of the year. we've seen less than two inches for most spots in all of 2013 when it comes to rainfall.

rights icon rosa parks by unveiling a statute in the u.s. capitol, the first full statue of an african-american to stand in the halls of congress, across the street, the supreme court will be hearing arguments from those challenging the constitutionality, the voting rights act reauthorization named in part for rosa parks. an act both republicans and democrats came together after extensive days and days and days and weeks and weeks of hearings and signed into law by a republican president. in the pending case, the challengers of the supreme court seek to strike down section 5 of the voting rights act, even though that critical section is protecting the constitutional guarantees against discrimination and voting where 100 years of prior civil rights laws have failed. now, the supreme court got it right four years ago when they upheld the constitutional authority of congress to reauthorize section 5 against a similar challenge. neither the words of the constitution nor the importance of these critical provisions protecting the right to vote has changed in the last four years. under these
